La Retraite is a Holiday cottage in beautiful, peaceful, Cotes D'Armor, Brittany ,close to the beautiful , medieval town of Dinan and conveniently placed for the port of St Malo and Dinard Airport ( with direct flights from Stansted and East Midlands).
The cottage is very comfortable indeed,it has two bedrooms and sleeps 4 people, the kitchen is exceptionally well equipped and the furniture in the living room is perfect for settling down into after a long day exploring the countryside and nearby beaches.
A cottage in Brittany is a perfect way to spend a holiday in
France and La Retraite is a lovely holiday cottage in the heart of the french
countryside. Despite being in a peaceful setting, there is lots do in very easy
reach. There are quaint towns within a short drive, lovely,medieval Dinan is just 10 minutes drive away, and there are local markets close by. Jugon les lacs, with it's fishing, watersports and swimming pool is 10 minutes away.
The holiday home is also quite near to beaches but not so close that you will be bothered by the busy traffic along the coast roads.
Some of Brittany's beautiful beaches are within easy reach , less than 25
minutes drive away. This is an ideal spot if you enjoy eating at great
restaurants, visiting interesting and beautiful places or just sitting
quietly with a glass of wine.
The countryside nearby is
ideal for walking or cycling, with lots of waymarked paths, and an
official long distance path, Grand randonee du tour du poudouvre just
up the road from the cottage.
For those who fancy a
city trip,
Rennes is about 45 minutes from the cottage, and Paris can be reached
in 4 hours by car or 3 hours on the train from St Malo.
