Dieppe,Calais,Boulougne and Dunkerque are
served by a number of channel ferry operators. The furthest
port away, Dunkerque is 350 miles from the cottage
and can be reached in less than 6 1/2 hours. However I
would
leave 7 hours for a more leisurely journey.
The closest of the Eastern Channel ports, Dieppe, is 224 miles or about
4 hours drive away. Calais is about
327 miles or a 5 1/2 hour to 6 hour
drive away,
but again this does not really leave time for breaks and it
would be
worth adding a little extra time to this journey. The same applies to
Boulogne which is about
306 miles away and can be reached from the
cottage in less than 5 hours.
